With white as the color of the year firmly seated under our seasonal belts, The Wall Street Journal recently published an article on oh so wonderful white luxury real estate, White Is the New Black for Luxury Real Estate.
White has traditionally been a highly preferred color for trim and ceilings, but according to Debbie Zimmer, director of the Paint Quality Institute, a research arm of Dow Chemical Co., there is a rising popularity in off-whites. Ms. Zimmer attributes this to color fatigue, urbanization and people adapting to smaller living spaces.
It’s time for a pulse check. How are Arizona luxury home buyers preferring this serene hue? Are interior design clients feeling that white is the way to go on walls and furnishings? What white paints are trending in the sunny southwest?
