With the competition for attention and attendees escalating in the home furnishings market, North Carolina is planning on stepping up its game as it waits for the ink to dry on a generous state budget of $22.3 billion.
Included in that much-anticipated figure are an additional $400,000 in recurring marketing dollars and $200,000 in non-recurring marketing dollars earmarked for High Point Market. HPMA Board Chairman and President of Vaughan-Bassett Furniture states, “As the largest economic event in the state, High Point Market is committed to positively influencing North Carolina’s economy. This additional funding will be a great resource to help us maintain our status as the largest home furnishings trade show in the world.”
So where will these generous dollars be used? Into the MyMarket app which debuted shortly before Spring Market in April and is available at the Apple store. MyMarket Integrates blue-dot technology and indoor navigation in the International Home Furnishings Center (IHFC), the Market’s largest building. This snappy app is designed to make it easier for you to track down your favorite exhibitors, get their contact information, and see what they are up to. Check out events to find your seminars, get-togethers, and networking opportunities, and find out speaking topics as well as presenters. My favorite. The navigation system maps the quickest route between exhibitors in the 13-block Market district making your future trips much more enjoyable.
