Design for Dogs, a custom dog house design + build competition, silent auction and fundraiser has been hosted by Facings of America since 2015. A dog-centric (and most recently cat-centric) architectural event showcases one-of-a-kind dog house creations by local architects, interior designers, builders, and product showrooms.
A family-friendly event with a little something for everyone…food, music, beer and wine tasting, local vendor booths, learning opportunities for adoption and animal advocacy, a puppy kissing booth, and the opportunity to go home with cool, new custom homes for your furry friends!
Facings of America partners with the Arizona Animal Welfare League and SPCA as its beneficiary.
We saw everything from a tennis ball dispenser, solar panels, and water dispensers. What more could a pooch want!
This is no local phenomenon!
Doggie design has become a popular lifestyle feature among consumers, quickly moving past in-home dog washing spaces to Ford inventing the Noise-Cancelling Kennel, which applies the active noise-canceling technology used in headphones to a dog’s home. IKEA launching a range of furniture just for the animals, tech company Petcube launching Internet-of-Things products that allow you to play with your pet remotely, and inventor Dominic Wilcox even designing a contemporary art exhibition for dogs to enjoy.
